At the end of the 1st session of day 2 of the 43rd Carifta Games in Martinique, Jamaica's medal tally stood at 30, comprising of 14 gold,10 silver and 6 bronze. The rerun of the U18 Boys dateMedal winners The Boys U-18 100m resulted in gold for Raheem Chambers in 10.27, whilst Waseem Williams won silver in 10.33. Other medal winners on day 2 were:
- Rochelle Frazer (gold) & Paul-Ann Gayle (silver) in U20 Discus
- Vashon McCarthy (gold) & Warren Barrett (bronze) in U18 Shot Put.
Jamaica's competitors in the 400M Hurdles & 800M all advanced to the respective finals.
Fourteen of the medals were won from field events (6 gold, 5 silver & 3 bronze).. Jamaica also made a clean sweep of the 100M sprints.
